Brick Technology Take on the Corporate Challenge...

If you were given £50, what would you do with it? Perhaps you would blow it all in one mad spree. Maybe you would put it in a safe place and save it for a rainy day. The third option is to invest it and make it grow and multiply; this is what Brick Technology will be doing over the coming weeks and months…

The East Lancashire Hospice has teamed up with Organic Insurance to create a unique competition to raise bundles of cash for the charity. Participating companies, including us here at Brick Technology, will each be given £50; the challenge is to turn that amount into as much as possible within a six month period.

Companies from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley will be going head-to-head in the exciting competition and all of the proceeds will go directly to the East Lancashire Hospice to help them do even more to support the local community. Participants can raise funds in whatever way they choose and the many suggestions for a starting-point include bake sales, gala evenings, raffles and dress-down days. There are also organised fundraisers including the Ribble Valley Pub Walk and Bubble Rush event. Our ideas are being kept top secret for the time being but you can keep in the loop with updates in our newsletter so subscribe today!

As well as our newsletter, there will be a blog featuring each participating company and lots of updates via the East Lancashire Hospice feeds on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Each month, the current totals will be revealed on a leaderboard and there will be plenty of press coverage so keep your eyes peeled. The final awards event will be held in October.

This is the second Corporate Challenge event and Organic Insurance, based in Blackburn, are delighted to once again be the headline sponsor of the event. Speaking on behalf of Organic Insurance Chris Ridehalgh said, “I was amazed at how much effort went into the challenge last year and how much money was raised by the businesses who took part. Most people know someone who has had to use the hospice, or may need to access the hospice in their lifetime, and the money raised from this challenge will help to ensure it's there to help families who need it.”
